Late on Saturday night, Alaska State Troopers were notified of a ” single- vehicle wreck near mile one of Kalifornski Beach Road,” the trooper dispatch revealed on Sunday. Although the vehicle accident was reported, the caller reported that the location of the driver and/or occupants remained unknown.
After receiving the report at 11:40 p.m., troopers responded to the location and arrived at 11:56 p.m.
When they arrived, the troopers the vehicle unoccupied. Three minutes later, a trooper search of the area located the driver of the vehicle approximately 50 feet away. When found, the driver, identified as 26-year-old Billy Duncan of Kasilof, was unresponsive and not breathing. Although CPR was initiated, efforts were unsuccessful, and Duncan was pronounced deceased at 12:06 am by Central Emergency Services medics.
Further investigation by Troopers would find that no other occupants were involved in the crash.
Troopers say that they believe that alcohol was a factor in the wreck.
Duncan’s next of kin arrived at the scene and were notified of his death.[xyz-ihs snippet=”Adsense-responsive”]
