As she was kayaking out on Spruce Cape near the Helipad on Tuesday, 42-year-old Delores Peterson of Kodiak, overturned in the choppy sea.

One of Delores’ neighbors was able to help Delores get back to shore.

But, the Alaska State Troopers had been called because of the incident. They were waiting on shore.

She was checked out to make sure she had not suffered any injuries from her mishap.

But, the troopers found that she had an outstanding warrant for her arrest. She was wanted for Failure to Appear. The original charge was Violating Conditions of Release.

Once she was found to be uninjured, Peterson was arrested and transported to the Kodiak Jail where she was held on a $250 bail.
