Alaska State Troopers have yet to arrest a Kodiak woman after a crash on the Chiniak Highway in Kodiak due to injuries and her subsequent treatment at the Providence Kodiak Island Medical Center, the trooper dispatch reported on Sunday.
Troopers received a REDDI report on a vehicle going through a construction zone on the Chiniak Highway on Thursday. According to the complaint, the driver of the vehicle, later identified as 46-year-old Wendy Bridenstine-Reid of Kodiak, had disobeyed a flagger and recklessly sped through the construction zone.
When troopers responded to the complaint, they would discover Bridenstine-Reid crashed into a ditch at mile 15 of the Chiniak highway. EMS also responded and transported Bridenstine-Reid to the hospital for treatment of her injuries.
Bridenstine-Reid was charged with DUI, Reckless Driving, Vehicle Theft, and Driving with License Revoked. She will be placed under arrest when released from the Hospital.[xyz-ihs snippet=”Adsense-responsive”]
