A moderate earthquake occurred 85 miles northwest of Cold Bay on Wednesday morning at 9:59 am
The quake measured a preliminary magnitude of 4.6 and was generated at a depth of just over one-half mile beneath the seafloor.
Its location in relationship to King Cove was 102 miles to the North-Northwest.
The quake centered in the southern Bering Sea occurred in an unpopulated region and so no reports of damage were generated.
No Tsunami warning was issued for the quake.
