After nearly a year, a Grand Jury has handed down an indictment charging 47-year-old Nondalton resident Luther Hobson with Assault II.
The indictment stemmed from an incident in the village of Nondalton that took place at Hobson’s residence. In January of this year, Hobson and 23-year-old Chad Koktelash got into an arguement that quickly became physical. During the later stages of the altercation, Hobson shot Koktelash in the leg with a .22 caliber rifle. The troopers that responded to the scene, determined that alcohol was a factor.
Koktelash suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was treated at the Nondalton Clinic.

On December 5th, a Grand Jury indicted Hobson on Second Degree Assault, which is a class B Felony, and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
State troopers contacted Hobson in Nondalton yesterday and arrested him.
Hobson was transported to the Bristol Bay Borough Detention Center and remanded there on $10,000 bail. His arraignment is set for today at 11am in the Naknek Courthouse.
