Just over a week after the bodies of two people were discovered in a burned-out Bronco in Soldotna, troopers report that the State Medical Examiner’s office has made a positive identification of one of the victims.

The SME Office in Anchorage has identified one person found burned in the Bronco as 52-year-old Joni Pearcy Bilderback. The other victim, thought to be Daniel Duck, has yet to be positively identified.

The two were last seen on November 14-15. Troopers contacted acquaintences and places that they frequented in their efforts to locate them. It was when troopers went back to one of those residences to follow up on their disappearance, that a person emerged from the woods and reported finding the two missing persons burned up in a Ford Bronco.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing.[xyz-ihs snippet=”Adsense-responsive”]
