A REDDI report was called in to troopers on Tuesday afternoon reporting a speeding and erratic vehicle on Knik Goose Bay Road in Wasilla. According to the report, the driver was all over the road and repeatedly crossing the centerline.
Troopers responded to the area at 2:16 pm and located the vehicle, and a traffic stop was conducted on Riley Avenue near the Knik Goose Bay Road.
Subsequent to the traffic stop of the vehicle, the driver was contacted and identified as 37-year-old Brian Millard of Anchorage. Millard was found to have two outstanding warrants for his arrest. Millard’s first warrant was for failure to comply with conditions of probation on the original charge of Theft II. His second warrant was for failing to comply with conditions of probation on the original charge of MICS IV.
When Millard was arrested on the warrants, troopers found that Millard had a small amount of heroin on his person. As a result, Millard was also charged with MICS IV.
Millard was transported to the Mat Su Pretrial Facility where he was remanded on the outstanding warrants and the new charge of MICS IV. Bail was set at $10,000 with a Court Approved Third Party on the charge of MICS IV and $1,000 plus a CATP on each of the warrants.
