Repeat Wasilla Forgery/Access Device Offender Arrested on $25,000 Warrant

After receiving a tip on the whereabouts of a man known to have a $25,000 warrant in Wasilla troopers responded to the scene.

Troopers were made aware that Jeremy Spurgeon, age 40, was wanted on a $25,000 arrest warrant and was at the Holiday Station/Store at the intersection of Boundry and the Parks Highway. They immediately responded and made contact with Spurgeon.

He was immediately taken into custody on the warrant for Failure to Appear for arraignment on charges of Forgery II, Theft II-Access Device, Fraudulent Use of an Assess Device, and Theft IV in a case brought to court on June 25th. Spurgeon also was awaiting trial on a previous case that consisted of three counts of Forgery II and two counts of Theft II-Access device that is  scheduled for September.

Spurgeon was transported to Palmer and remanded to the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility with his bail set at $25,000.
