A Saxman man was arrested after becoming combative with Ketchikan Medical staff following an assault on Eagle Avenue in Saxman late Saturday night.
25-year-old Gary Weston was contacted at a residence on Eagle Avenue at 11:33 pm on Saturday night after a report was made to troopers of an assault in progress there.
The trooper investigation at the scene revealed that Weston had assaulted a family member there before leaving. When he left the residence, he broke a nearby vehicle window, injuring himself.
Weston was transported to the Ketchikan Peace Health Medical Center for treatment of his injuries. While at the hospital, Weston became combative with medical staff.
Following his release from KPMC, Weston was placed under arrest and transported to the Ketchikan Correctional Center where he was remanded without bail on charges of Assault IV (DV), Disorderly Conduct x2, and Criminal Mischief III.
Troopers say alcohol was a factor in the incidences.
