SEACAD Makes Ketchikan Oxycodone Bust

drug bustOn Sunday night in Ketchikan, the Alaska Bureau of Investigation’s Southeast Alaska Cities Against Drugs Task Force made an arrest in connection with Oxycodone smuggling.

It was reported by troopers that at 10:28 pm Sunday, the SEACAD Task Force, with the assistance of K-9 “Lutri,” arrested 32-year-old Terra Adams on charges of Conspiracy to Commit Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance II and Attempted Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance II after she was caught attempting to  smuggle 367 30-milligram Oxycodone tablets from Seattle to Ketchikan.

Adams was transported to the Ketchikan Correctional Center and remanded on the charges.

Troopers estimated the value of the 30-milligram tablets at $100 apiece, making the street value of the Oxycodone at approximately $36,700.
