It was discovered on Saturday that several vehicles at the boat launch and the end of the road at Anton Larsen Bay had been vandalized.

The area is a frequently used and popular launch for residents of Port Lions and Larsen Island in the bay. The launch is also used by Kodiak residents seeking to assess that side of the island, cutting many miles of marine travel from the city of Kodiak to the outlying area on the north end of Kodiak and Afognak Island.
Damages are estimated to be at least $3,000.
The Alaska State Troopers have identified a suspect in the vandalism case. The suspect, unnamed is a 17-year-old juvenile.
Charges in the case have been forwarded to the Department of Juvenile Justice.
