Alyeska Security called into the Alaska State troopers dispatch in Soldotna at 10:36 PM on Saturday to report an assault at the Alyeska resort in Girdwood.

Alaska State troopers were dispatched to the Alyeska resort after the 911 call.

The trooper investigation at the scene determined that 31-year-old Fairbanks resident Jacob A. Brown had physically assaulted an adult female in a hotel room while their two minor children were present. It was found during the investigation that Brown had held the woman against her will in the hotel room.

Brown was arrested for Assault II(domestic violence) and kidnapping. It was also found that Brown had an outstanding felony warrant, and so he was arrested on that warrant as well.

Brown was transported to the Anchorage jail and remanded there.

Brown was arraigned in court on Sunday and his bail was set at $50,000 plus a $5000 cash performance and the third-party court-approved custodian. An attorney was appointed for Brown and a pre-indictment hearing is scheduled for October 15 at 2 PM.
