Tractor Flips, Pins Sutton Man in Fatal Mishap

ASTpatch_New copy copyA Sutton man died while working with his tractor on his property on Monday evening.

According to the Department of Public Safety dispatch, 68-year-old Marvin Baker of Sutton was on his tractor on a slope on his property when he lost control of his equipment and it flipped off the embankment just before 6 pm on Monday evening.

Palmer Patrol and Wildlife troopers as well as various EMS and fire units arrived at the scene after it was reported at 5:54 pm. But, all attempts to resuscitate Baker were futile and he was declared deceased at the scene.

Baker’s body was recovered from the hillside and the State Medical Examiner responded to the scene to take possession of Baker’s remains for autopsy

Baker’s next of kin was notified. Troopers do not believe foul play played a part in Baker’s death.
