Trespass Turns into Drug, Theft Charges for Kodiak Suspect

After receiving a trespass report on Tuesday morning from a residence on Tugidak Court in Kodiak, troopers responded to the home, conducted an investigation and identified a suspect in the case.

As a result of the initial investigation, troopers would go to a residence on Sharatin Drive to trespass 19-year-old Hayden Fredrickson from the Tugidak Court residence. When they arrived at the scene, they “observed narcotics and drug paraphernalia inside Fredrickson’s residence,” according to the trooper dispatch.

Troopers subsequently applied for a search warrant and called in a K9 and K9 officer. With the assistance of the Kodiak Police Department, troopers searched the residence and found methamphetamine, marijuana, crushed codeine and  evidence of trafficking and distribution of narcotics.

The investigation at the Sharatin residence would also find a Stihl chainsaw reported stolen from a job site in Kodiak, as well as a Suzuki SE4000SED generator. Troopers are currently attempting to locate the owner of that piece of machinery.

Fredrickson and 26-year-old Meikayla Wyatt were both arrested at the scene and charged with Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance III, and three counts of MICS IV. Fredrickson was also charged with Theft III.

While at the residence, troopers also contacted 24-year-old Everett Grass, the investigation resulted in him being arrested on two counts of Violation of Conditions of Release.

Troopers are asking the public for information that can lead troopers to the owner of the recovered Suzuki generator. Troopers can be reached at 486-4121, or information can be reported anonymously with Crime Stoppers at 486-3113.

The investigation into this incident is continuing.
