Troopers are requesting information in a burglary that took place in the community of Hydaburg on New Years Eve or New Years Day.

A report of a burglary went in to the Hydaburg VPSOs on January 2nd reporting a burglary at a residence in that Prince of Wales community.

The investigation intothe burglary revealed that a person or persons entered the residence through a rear-facing window and accessed a safe there. After forcing the safe open, approximately $10,000 was taken from the safe as well as a coin collection of unknown value.

The victim told troopers that the incident took place between New Years Eve and noon on New years Day.
