Troopers Investigating Circumstances Surrounding North Pole Gunshot Victim

Alaska State Troopers responded to a 911 call that was transferred to them from the Fairbanks Police Department on Tuesday from a caller reporting a possible gunshot and sounds of a person in distress.

Troopers went to a residence on Horseshoe Way in North Pole after receiving a 911 call at 11:12 am with information indicating that a possible gunshot was heard followed by moaning and screaming.

When troopers arrived at the scene, they discovered 49- year-old Dallas Lee Williams of North Pole at the residence. He was suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound.

Troopers report that “No other individuals were present at the time of the response.”

EMS also responded to the scene and transported Williams to the Fairbanks Memorial Hospital.

Investigators say that the cause and circumstances of the gunshot wound are currently being investigated in the on-going investigation.
