Troopers are asking for the whereabouts of a suspect in a traffic incident that occurred on the Alaska Highway during the early morning hours of Friday.
Alaska State Troopers report that a trooper on patrol on the Alaska Highway near Northway came upon a vehicle in the ditch and attempted to contact the occupant, who was later identified as 39-year-old Northway resident, Allen Frank. But, Frank pulled out of the ditch, damaging his vehicle and fled from the scene.
The officer gave chase and attempted to stop Frank’s vehicle, “but the driver failed to yield,” the trooper dispatch stated.
Frank continued for a short distance, before coming to a halt, but instead of remaining, he exited the vehicle and fled on foot. Frank disappeared and is still at large.
Online court records shows no recent or open cases connected with Frank. Following this morning’s incident, Frank now faces pending charges of Failure to Yield at the Direction of a Peace Officer I, Reckless Driving, and Driving While License Revoked.
