After receiving a report of possible drug activity in a suspicious vehicle parked on Lyric Circle in Anchor Point last week, troopers located the vehicle and contacted the occupants the trooper dispatch reported on Monday.
Anchor Point-based troopers contacted the driver, who they identified as 20-year-old Dylan Hargett-Rautio, and a passenger, identified as 32-year-old Alexander Napier, both of Homer. When they made contact, troopers reported that they observed heroin in plain site.
During the contact, troopers would find that Napier was in possession of a handgun. A check of Napier’s criminal history would find that he is a convicted felon and barred from firearm possession. Napier was also found to be on conditions of release for a prior felony. Napier was subsequently arrested for violating his conditions of release as well as Misconduct Involving a Weapon III.
The driver, Hargett-Rautio, was charged with Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance IV. A check of court records would find that Hargett-Rautio was Napier’s Court Approved Third Party and was to be in violation of his custodial duties.
Both Hargett-Rautio and Napier were arrested and transported to the Homer Jail where they were remanded without bail.
