On Friday, Alaska State Troopers traveled to Kwethluk and served outstanding warrants on two residents of that community on Sexual Abuse charges.

At 3:02 pm, troopers contacted 23-year-old Kwethluk resident John Olick and placed him under arrest on an outstanding warrant for Sexual Abuse of a Minor I and Sexual Abuse of a Minor II.

Less than an hour later, at 4 pm, troopers also contacted 56-year-old Nick Epchook Jr in the village and placed him under arrest for a warrant on the same charges as Olick’s.

Troopers transported both village men to the Yukon Kuskokwim Correctional Center where they were remanded.

Olick’s bail was set at $25,000 plus a court approved third party custodian.

Epchook’s bail was set at $100,000 plus a court approved third party.
