A Report Every Dangerous Driver Immediately (REDDI) report at 1:10 am on Saturday morning resulted in two arrests on the Parks Highway troopers reported in the trooper dispatch Sunday.
Troopers located two vehicles, a black Mitsubishi Galant and a gray Dodge Charger, that had been reported as REDDI early Saturday morning near the intersection of the Parks Highway and Weber Drive and contacted the drivers.
Troopers contacted the driver of the Mitsubishi, 21-year-old Fairbanks resident Michael Reynolds, they would discover that Reynolds was on felony probation for Misconduct Invvolving a Controlled Substance. When conacted, the probation department directed troopers to conduct a search of Reynolds vehicle. The trooper search would discover evidence of drug paraphernalia.[xyz-ihs snippet=”adsense-body-ad”]
As troopers continued their investigation, they would find that the driver of the Dodge Charger, Devaughn Crayton, age 22 of Fairbanks, was also on felony probation for Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance. When conducting a probation-directed search of his vehicle and find that the vehicle contained narcotics and drug paraphernalia.
Both drivers were arrested at the scene for probation violations. During his arrest, Crayton “attempted to destroy physical evidence by ingesting suspected narcotics,” troopers revealed. That act would result in the additional charge of Tampering with Physical Evidence to be leveled against Crayton, troopers reported.
Both drivers were transported to Palmer and remanded to the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility, where they were held without bail.[xyz-ihs snippet=”Adversal-468×60″]
