On Thursday night, Wasilla-based troopers responded to a disturbance call at a Pittman Road/Parks Highway gas station at 8:23 pm.
Upon arrival and investigation of the incident, troopers contacted 28-year-old John Nagel of Wasilla and placed him under arrest for Assault III-DV, DUI-Alcohol, and Violation of Conditions of Release. According to troopers, Nagel was on conditions of release in a previous DV-Criminal Mischief/DUI case.
According to the report, Nagel had “placed a family member in fear of imminent serious physical injury by means of a deadly weapon at their nearby residence.” The victim would flee the home and go to the gas station. But, Nagel followed the victim to the gas station on an ATV while under the influence.
A Petition for Protective Order was granted following last night’s incident.
Nagel was transported to Palmer and remanded to the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility without bail.
