Wasilla Woman Arrested on Contraband Charges at Goose Creek Correctional

drug bustA Wasilla woman, who was visiting an inmate at the Goose Creek Correctional Facility, was ” detained after she was found to have brought drugs into the facility,” Tuesday’s trooper dispatch revealed.

20-year-old Tiffany Becker had gone to the Goose Creek Correctional Center on Monday evening to visit an inmate currently incarcerated there.

Alaska State Troopers were notified at 8:30 PM on Monday night of the attempt to pass contraband, and arrived at the facility to investigate the incident. Their investigation showed “Becker had brought a controlled substance into the facility and an attempt to pass the drugs to the inmate during the visit,” troopers reported.

Following the investigation, Becker was arrested, transported, and remanded to the Palmer Mat-Su Pretrial Facility on charges of Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance IV and Promoting Contraband I. her bail was set at $1,500.

Becker will be arraigned on the two felony charges at the Palmer courthouse on Tuesday afternoon.[xyz-ihs snippet=”Adsense-responsive”]
