On Wednesday, at 10:05 am, Alaska State Troopers contacted a Willow man concerning an outstanding request warrant and he was placed under arrest without incident, the trooper dispatch reported.
Troopers arrested Willow resident 50 year-old Scot Leitner on charges of Distribution of Child Pornography and Possession of Child Porn, according to troopers.
According to online court records, Leitner is charged with three counts of Distribution of Child Pornography stemming from two occasions in September of 2014 and February 2015, and two counts of Possession of Child Pornography.
Leitner was transported to Palmer where he was remanded to the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility with his bail set at $5,000.
Leitner was accused of interfering with fire-fighters during the Sockeye fire earlier this year. In early June, Leitner denied crews from accessing his property and was given a disorderly conduct warning by troopers. Three days later, troopers responded to the same address on Phido Street to issue a charge of Disorderly Conduct when Leitner once again disrupted fire-fighters abilities to fight the wildfire in the area. That case has yet to be resolved.
The Sockeye fire burned more that two dozen homes as it scorched over 7,000 acres last summer.[xyz-ihs snippet=”Adsense-responsive”]
