60-year-old Wasilla man is being held on $5,000 bail after a rollover on Fairview Loop on Sunday evening.

Alaska State Troopers responded to a report of a single vehicle rollover on Fairview Loop at 5:58 pm, but the driver and the sole occupant of the rolled vehicle, a 2004 Chevy pickup, fled the scene on foot. But, according to the trooper dispatch, he was apprehended a short time later.

The driver, identified as 60-year-old Clyde Haack of Wasilla was the subject of a REDDI call-in just seventeen  minutes earlier as he was driving on the Glenn Highway.

Haack, who investigators found had lost control of his vehicle and rolled after leaving the roadway, was driving under the influence troopers say. Haack was also driving his vehicle in avoidance of an ignition interlock device.

Further investigation would find that the current DUI charge was the third in the last ten years, making it a Felony. Haack was arrested on charges of Felony DUI, Resisting Arrest and Avoidance of an Interlocking Device.

Haack was transported to the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility where he was remanded. In addition to his $5,000 bail, Haack must also have a court approved third party custodian.

The pickup is said to be a  total loss.
