We are very excited about this years Holiday Bazaar on Sat. November 29th. It was all filled up on the 1st of November and it is the most we have ever had. Thank you to everyone who is participating. This should be a wonderful event. If you are around, please take some time to visit. The hours are 11AM-3:00PM with a special members only hour from 10:00AM-11:00AM.
A new edition this year is a free children’s activity which will be taking place upstairs during the whole day and will be coordinated by volunteers from the Kodiak Coast Guard Spouses Association. The idea is to let the parents drop off their kids so they can come down and shop unencumbered for a while.
Food and refreshments are being provided by Island Espresso. There will be entertainment from varies choral groups throughout the day including St. Innocents Academy, Peterson Elementary, and St. Mary’s.
We will be having door prizes both from some of the artists and the museum, 50/50 raffle fund raiser for Alaska Native Health organization, and our membership drive which has a drawing prize of round trip ticket to Anchorage from Ravn Air.
I plan on decorating the shop for the holidays and will have it up and sparkly for the event. I am hoping to have all the ornaments and décor on display be by our artists. These ornaments will be for sale to the public. If you are inspired and have any ideas that you think would work please let me know. I can buy these items straight from you in one bulk purchase rather then as each sells individually. If you can, please get them to me by the 29th so I can put them up for the bazaar.
