Charges continue to mount against the Soldotna Karate instructor, Michael Dean Hancock, after a Soldotna Grand Jury indicted Hancock on further charges of Sexual Abuse of a Minor I and II and three counts of Unlawful Exploitation of a Minor.

These newest charges are added to the 13 counts he was indicted on in mid-January for Distribution of Child Pornography and Child Pornography Possession.

In December, the Soldotna dojo, Peninsula Martial Arts, shut down unexpectedly, and a month later, Hancock, age 57, was indicted and jailed. He remains in custody at the Wildwood Pretrial Facility. He operated the dojo for over a decade and a half. The phone for that business has also been disconnected.

Alaska State Troopers continues to seek additional victims in the ongoing investigation. Investigator Peronto can be reached at 907-260-2709.[xyz-ihs snippet=”Adsense-responsive”]
