Alaska State Troopers are seeking information on a hit and run accident that occurred during the early morning hours of Saturday when a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle at Holt Lamplight Road and Anderson Road in Nikiski.

The victim, 19-year-old Jonathan Demilta of Nikiski, was struck by what was described as a green Ford extended cab truck at shortly after midnight on Saturday morning. After striking the victim, the suspect vehicle, which had sustained front end driver’s side damage from the impact, fled the scene.

Demilta suffered severe, but non-life threatening injuries in the incident and was transported to the Central peninsula Hospital in Soldotna for treatment of his injuries.
