Anchorage Judge Orders Evan Fischer Remanded Following Hearing

By court order, following a remand hearing, Superior Court Judge Michael Corey ordered the arrest and remand of former Executive Director of Frontier Tutoring, 36-year-old Evan Fischer, who is a defendant in a December 2015 Sexual Abuse of a Minor/ Child Pornography Distribution case.

Fischer was arrested on Tuesday, December 15th, after Fischer’s residence was searched, and computers and digital media were seized on December 9th, 2015. The search was in connection with an investigation that was initiated in November when Fischer sent videos depicting sexual exploitation and sexual abuse of children to an undercover Anchorage Police Department detective from October 31st to November 9th.

Crimes Against Children detective, Mark Thomas, was able to trace Fischer’s IP address to Fischer’s Meadow Street home.[xyz-ihs snippet=”adsense-body-ad”]

Following the search for evidence, investigators interviewed Fischer, who police say admitted to a preference for pre-teen girls having intercourse with adults,e also told detectives that he had a sexual relationship with a 15-year-old girl that he had contact with in his capacity as a tutor in 2013. When interviewed, the teen would tell investigators that Fischer did have intercourse with her at his apartment six times during the time that he was her English Lit tutor at the Anchorage Family Partnership Charter School. Online court records show that Fischer is facing one count of Sexual Abuse of a Minor I and four counts of Distribution of Child Pornography.

According to court records, Fischer’s Pre-Trial Conference and scheduled trial date have been vacated, and Fischer is scheduled for a Change of Plea hearing on the afternoon of April 5th.

Troopers say that Fischer’s bail was set at “$100,000 cash/appearance, plus $100,000 cash/performance with a third party custodian” at the time of his remand.
