SOUTH ANCHORAGE-Anchorage police have released more information in the South Anchorage case of the slain man and woman on Bona Kim Loop. They have released the names of the victims and a preliminary cause of death as a result of their investigations.

Anchorage police believe that Tae Won Ro, age 40, stabbed his girlfriend, Yoo Jin Kim, age 33, multiple times, killing her. Afterwards, police say, he hung himself and died from strangulation.

Although the police have not yet released their determination as to the time of death, neighbors last heard the couple on Friday. The couple was having an argument at that time. A family member that the police said was a relative of one of the victims had first called the couple’s landlord on Monday concerned about Ro and Kim. The landlord gave the man a spare garage door opener to gain access. That was when the man found the scene yesterday at 3:20 pm.

The Anchorage Police department detectives continue with their investigation of the suspected murder/suicide.
