ASTpatch_New copy copyAn Anchor Point teen was transported to the Homer Hospital for treatment of injuries after her vehicle left the roadway at mile 167 of the Sterling Highway, and collided with a tree.

18-year-old Talena Kinder told troopers that she lost control of her vehicle when she “panicked after seeing several bees in the vehicle,” the trooper report says.

Kinder was the driver and only occupant in the GMC Yukon, and was not wearing her seatbelt at the time of the accident, troopers report.

Kinder was cited for failure to wear a seatbelt and her vehicle was towed from the scene.
