It was early last month, on December 9th, that the Alaska Bureau of Investigation, Child Abuse Investigation Unit received a report of possible sexual abuse involving a minor.

Their investigation into the alleged incident would span almost a month.

The investigation by the ABI Child Abuse Investigation Unit would reveal that 43-year-old Big Lake resident, Stanley James Edenfield had sexually abused a 15-year-old female in 2012.

On January 10th, 2013, the Palmer Court issued an arrest warrant for Edenfield. Edenfield was arrested at his Big Lake home without incident and was taken to the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility and remanded there on nine counts of Sexual Abuse of a Minor II.

Edenfield’s bail was set at $100,000 and a court appointed Third Party Custodian or Conditions of Release.
