Chugiak Woman Arrested for Vehicle Theft, Drugs after Knik River Bridge Disturbance Call

vehicle theftAlaska State Troopers responded to a disturbance near the Old Glenn Highway concerning a prior theft on Saturday afternoon trooper dispatch reports.

Troopers traveled the the area of the Knik River Bridge at 2:49 pm on Saturday. When they arrived, their investigation found that 33-year-old Naomi Morrison of Chugiak was involved in a disturbance, and had stolen a vehicle on Friday night.  It was found that she had also stolen items from the vehicle.

Further investigation would find that she was in possession of synthetic opiates which she did not have a prescription for.

Troopers arrested Morrison on charges of Vehicle Theft I, Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance IV, and Theft III.

She was transported to the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility and remanded there with her bail set at $7,500.
