Failed Kasilof Car Chase Ends in Jail for Soldotna Man

trooperarrestAt 7:08 pm on Thursday night, troopers attempted to perform a traffic stop on a Geo Metro, license plate # GXT265 on Pollard Loop Road in Kasilof, but instead of stopping, the suspect vehicle sped away.

Troopers gave chase for about two miles. But then, the driver of the vehicle, later identified as 25-year-old Michael Lassley, decided to take his Metro off-road.  Lassley attempted to take his vehicle onto a snow-covered ATV trail, but immediately got stuck.

After his arrest for Felony Eluding and Driving while  License Revoked, troopers found that Lassley had a $500 warrant for his arrest.

Lassley had a 23-year-old passenger in the vehicle with him at the time of the incident. She was released at the scene and Lassley’s vehicle was impounded. Lassley was booked into the Wildwood Pretrial Facility.[xyz-ihs snippet=”Adsense-responsive”]
