Kasilof Man Jailed on Drug Charges after REDDI Report

trooperarrestAnchor Point Troopers report that they received a REDDI report late Thursday evening for a vehicle traveling at high speed and passing on a double yellow line near mile 165 of the Sterling Highway.

They responded to the call at 8:33pm and soon located the vehicle after they saw it speeding down the highway.

After stopping the vehicle they contacted 47-year-old Kasilof resident Robert H. Chandler. As they were contacting Chandler, Chandler attempted to dispose of something from his breast pocket. Troopers were able to stop him from continuing and found him to be in possession of 7.5 grams of Methamphetamine.

Chandler was arrested for reckless driving, and as a result of the discovery of the meth in his pocket, charged with Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance IV.

Chandler was transported to the Homer jai. Once there, it was found that Chandler was on Conditions of Release for a recent Felony Drug arrest. He was also held for violating that release.

Chandler was held without bail pending arraignment at the Homer Jail.
