Former Arkansas Republican Governor Mike Huckabee stated that he is mulling over the idea of running for the presidency once again in 2016.
The Fox News Host, former Baptist Minister and 2008 Presidential hopeful said that if he can get financial support that he would take another shot at it. Huckabee failed to get the Republican nod in his last attempt in 2008. He took the Iowa caucuses before tapping out of the election, he did not run in 2012.
“With the advent of the super PACs, it frankly is a lot easier to get the financial support. You can find a few people that really, really are capable of helping and want to,” Huckabee said. “One of the challenges I had was, I was out there raising it $2,500 at a time, and there weren’t many people supporting me who could afford the $2,500.”
Huckabee has not been a stranger to Iowa since the failed 2008 attempt, he is a frequent visitor to the state. His last trip there was as recent as November when he made a trip to Des Moines to speak before a pro-life group.
Huckabee was unable to raise enough funds as well as delegates to gain the nomination that Primary winner John McCain would take to the general election.
