Alaska State Troopers responded to a disturbance call with shots fired in Nikiski on Sunday afternoon at 2:53 pm.

They arrived at the scene to find that 38-year-old Nikiski resident Chad Jones was injured as a result of the altercation that took place between the couple.

Jones was transported to the Central Peninsula Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

Upon his release from the hospital on Tuesday morning at 10 am, Jones was arrested on a $5,000 warrant on charges of Burglary I, Theft I, and two counts of Theft II.

The investigation into the original Disturbance case is still under investigation.
