A Wasilla man attempted to out run a felony DUI arrest on Friday night at 11:23 PM when Alaska Bureau of Highway Patrol South-Central Team officers attempted to stop him as he was riding an ATV on the roadway on Wasilla fishhook Road.
A short pursuit took place when the rider failed to stop, subsequently troopers discontinued their chase. But, troopers were able to track the ATV where it had been abandoned behind a residence on Wasilla fishhook Road.
Alaska State troopers, along with several Wasilla police officers, search the woods in the area and ultimately were able to locate the driver hiding there.
Once captured, the driver was identified as 30-year-old Palmer resident Jeramy Jolliffe. The ensuing investigation found that Jolliffe was under the influence of alcohol and was also on felony probation for a prior felony DUI conviction. He was also found to have a revoked drivers license.
Jolliffe was arrested and charged with Felony DUI, Eluding II, Driving with License Revoked, and Probation Violation. He was transported to the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility where he was remanded and his bail was set at $5000 and a court-approved third-party.
