Troopers and Park Rangers apprehended the man they suspect has been breaking into vehicles and stealing credit cards which were later used at local businesses in the Wasilla area on Sunday.
Several reports had gone into the Alaska State Troopers and to the Park Rangers throughout the month of September reporting vehicle break-ins at the Nancy Lake State Recreational area.
Early Sunday morning at 1 am, troopers and rangers located 38-year-old Wasilla resident James E. Morgan as he was entering the Nancy Lake State Recreational area in his vehicle. He was then observed looking into parked vehicles at the Red Shirt Lake Trailhead parking area.
Morgan was contacted and subsequently arrested at that point. He was charged with three counts of Theft II, 15 counts of Fraudulent use of an Access Device, and 3 counts of Obtaining a Credit Card by Fraudulent Means.
Morgan was arrested and transported to the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility where he was remanded and his bail set at $10,000.
