Alaska State Troopers are asking the public for information on a 30-year-old Homer man in connection with the theft of a generator from mile 9 of East End Road on August 27th.
Troopers began looking for Paul Suter of Homer last month after being notified that a generator had been stolen from a cabin at mile 9 near Homer. After opening an investigation, troopers developed Suter as a suspect in the theft.
Last Thursday, September 22nd, troopers observed Suter driving a gold-colored KIA SUV on the Sterling Highway and followed him to a driveway on Valleyside Drive to speak to him. But, when Suter saw the troopers, he drove into a large field behind the residence, then fled into the woods on foot.
A search of the area by troopers did not turn up the suspect.[xyz-ihs snippet=”adsense-body-ad”]
As troopers conducted a follow-up at the residence, they discovered the stolen generator and it was confirmed by its serial number. Persons at the residence identified Suter as the person who brought the generator to the residence.
Suter has been the subject of a petition to revoke probation multiple times for violating his probation in a 2012 Felony DUI case and is currently wanted on that warrant.
In addition, on September 26th, the Homer Court issued another warrant for DWLR, Theft III, and Criminal Trespass I.
Anyone seeing Suter is asked to contact their local law enforcement.[xyz-ihs snippet=”Adversal-468×60″]
