Kodiak-based troopers are seeking information on a teen suspect who is reported to have committed multiple assaults on March 27th and 29th in the Bells Flats area south of Kodiak.

On Friday, at 12:33 pm, Kodiak troopers received a report of an assault on a female in the Bells Flats area near Kodiak. The caller identified her assailant as 19-year-old Bryce Beltran of Kodiak.

Troopers responded to the location, but, Belltran had already fled the scene prior to their arrival armed with a .308 rifle. He left the area in a stolen vehicle, that vehicle was recovered later in the day.

On Sunday morning, at 9:46 am, troopers received another call from the Bells Flats area reporting another assault on the same female victim at the same location as Friday. Beltran was again identified as the assailant. Once again, Beltran fled the scene before the trooper’s arrival.

Two arrest warrants in the amount of $25,000 have been issued for Beltran’s arrest.

Troopers say that Beltran is believed to be armed and dangerous and troopers advise that he should not be approached or contacted.

AST requests that anyone with knowledge of his whereabouts to contact Kodiak law enforcement by dialing 911.
