Two Arrested after ‘Poison Call’

trooperarrestA call went in to 911 in Soldotna on Sunday morning at 10:57 am reporting that a person had poisoned the caller and was also trying to “frame him for something.”

When told that he felt he was going to die because he alleged that 25-year-old Candace Linn Ann Peterson had poisoned him, troopers responded to the scene at a business at mile 84 of the Sterling Highway.

The caller, 31-year-old Travis Del Longbotham, was contacted as he was attempting to stop traffic on the Sterling Highway claiming that unknown men were after him. The trooper investigation at the scene where both Longbotham and Peterson were interviewed, would find that Longbotham had been high on  methamphetamine and heroin for several days and might possibly been hallucinating according to the trooper dispatch.

After contact, Peterson was found to be in possession of “a small amount of marijuana, methamphetamine and heroin along with the paraphernalia used to consume them.”

Peterson was arrested on charges of Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance IV x2, and Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance VI. Longbotham was charged with Disorderly Conduct and False Information.

Both Longbotham and Peterson were transported to the Wildwood Pretrial Facility and remanded there. Longbotham was held on $750 bail. Peterson was held without bail.
