Two Sessions (come to one, or both!) Saturday, May 24 10:00am-Noon Saturday, May 31 10:00am-Noon
In celebration of our new exhibit, Inartalicirpet, we will be hosting Grass Weaving Techniques: A Workshop with Coral Chernoff each Saturday in May. Last week’s workshop sold out, but we have spaces available for the next two sessions!
Beginners can learn the basics while more experienced weavers learn new tips in a casual, intimate setting at the Alutiiq Museum. Attend just one workshop to create a basket start, or come to both workshops for extra weaving instruction with Coral.
Space is very limited. Register by contacting Brian Fraley at 907.486.7004 or by emailing brian@alutiiqmuseum.org
$50 fee per session includes materials.
Fee waived for Native students ages 14-18, courtesy of the Kodiak Island Borough School District.
