A Barrow couple has bee placed under arrest on Murder charges after the Alaska State Troopers responded to a disturbance call at the Extended Stay Hotel in Fairbanks the trooper dispatch reports.
Troopers received a disturbance call at the hotel on Wednesday morning at 4:58 and responded to the scene to find 37-year-old Wesley Lord deceased. The ensuing investigation at the scene would reveal that Lord died from blunt force trauma. As the investigation continued, it would be further revealed that 39-year-old Abraham Stine had assaulted Lord while his girlfriend, 31-year-old Dominique Vasquez covered Lords mouth so that he could not be heard as he died.
Lord’s remains have been sent to the State Medical Examiner’s office in Anchorage for autopsy.
Stine and Vasquez were transported to the Fairbanks Correctional Center and remanded there on Murder II charges.
The investigation into the circumstances of Lord’s death are continuing.
