At 7:10 pm, troopers were notified of a head-on collision that had taken place on Resanof Drive near Fort Abercrombie on the outskirts of Kodiak on Tuesday evening. Troopers responded to the scene and conducted an investigation of the crash.
EMS also responded, and the two drivers, 29-year-old Jeremiah Johnson and 46-year-old James Price were transported to the Providence Kodiak Island Medical Center for treatment of their injuries.
The trooper investigation of the incident would find that Johnson was traveling southbound on Resanof Drive in his 1997 Jeep Cherokee when he crossed the center-line while rounding a curve in the roadway.
