Alaska State Troopers Seeking Information on Vandalism of DOT Tractor

The investigation into the vandalizing of Department of Transportation equipment on Prince of Wales Island is ongoing according to the Alaska State Troopers.

The Alaska State Troopers received a report of criminal mischief directed toward a tractor near mile 12 of the Hydaburg Road on Prince of Wales Island at approximately 9 am on Monday morning. The caller reported that sometime between Saturday evening and Monday morning, someone had shot out the side and front windows of a DOT tractor parked there.

Damage to the tractor is estimated at $1,000.

Currently DPS has no suspects in the case and are asking the public for information in the incident. Anyone with information is encouraged to call State Troopers at the Prince of Wales post at 1-800-754-2918.
