Juneau, Alaska – Governor Sean Parnell has ordered state flags to fly at half-staff on Tuesday, September 18, in honor and memory of former Representative Henry Pratt. Representative Pratt died August 30. He was 82.

“Representative Pratt will be remembered as a dedicated public servant who loved Alaska,” Governor Parnell said. “Sandy and I send our condolences to his family during this difficult time.”
Pratt, of Anchorage, served one term in the Alaska House of Representatives, beginning in 1961. In 1969, he was appointed as executive assistant to Governor Keith Miller. Pratt also served as executive assistant for Anchorage Mayor Tom Fink.
Pratt is survived by his wife of 52 years, Donna, their three children, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
State flags will be lowered on Tuesday and raised to full-staff the following morning.
