Kechikan Police Request Assistance Locating Drug Offender

Help locating an absconder has been requested from the Alaska State Troopers by the  Ketchikan Police Department, it was revealed on Wednesday morning.

According to the trooper dispatch on Wednesday morning, KPD was issued a warrant for the arrest of 24-year-old Ketchikan resident Jeremy E. Ellis on May 1st for failure to appear. Ellis was to appear for a hearing on charges of “Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance in the Second Degree, Theft in the Second Degree and two counts of Misconduct Involving a Weapon in the Third Degree,” troopers reported.

Ellis was arrested on the charges in March when police executed a search warrant at a home on the 1900-block of Second Avenue. KPD seized $3,500 in cash, 34 grams of heroin, paraphernalia and two stolen handguns.

KPD informed troopers that Ellis, who also has an outstanding warrant for violating his conditions of release, is believed to be in the Prince of Wales or the  Ketchikan area.[xyz-ihs snippet=”Adsense-responsive”]Anyone with information on his whereabouts are encouraged to call Troopers at 907-225-5118, Ketchikan Police Department at 907-225-6631, or by calling 9-1-1.
