One Arrested, APD Seeks Two Others in Smoker’s Choice Armed Robbery

Anchorage police say that they have arrested one and are still seeking two others following the armed robbery of the Smoker’s Choice on Minnesota Drive this week.

According to their report, a single male, identified as 24-year-old Kevin Fisher, went into the shop with a firearm, discharged his weapon, robbed the business at gunpoint then walked.

After exiting the business, Fisher got into a white Chevy Impala with two others, a male and female, that were already in the vehicle. The suspects fled the area, traveling to the 36th Street and Iowa Street area where they abandoned the Impala and got into a blue 2002 Oldsmobile Bravada.

“They crashed into a tree in the area of 35th Avenue and Vintage Circle and fled on foot” a short time later, police reported.

Police were informed of a “suspicious person” by a resident in the Wiley Post Avenue and Turnagain Boulevard area and responded to the scene where they located Fisher in the backyard of a residence there.

After interviewing Fisher, he was arrested and transported to the Anchorage Jail on charges of Robbery I, Theft III, and Assault III.[xyz-ihs snippet=”Adsense-responsive”]APD continues to search for the other two suspects.
