The Bureau of Highway Patrol in Palmer stopped a gray Dodge truck for speeding at mile 2.5 of Clark-Wolverine Road at 4:42 pm on Tuesday.

The trooper investigation at the scene found that a passenger in the vehicle, 25-year-old Wasilla resident Michael W. Yunker, was in possession of Crystal Methamphetamine and intended to deliver the drugs.
Further investigation found that another passenger in the vehicle, 20-year-old Palmer resident Zachary E.M. Simpson had an outstanding warrant for his arrest for Failure to Appear on charges of Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance IV. When Simpson was arrested, it was found that he had a user’s amount of Crystal Meth in his possession as well.
Yunker was charged with Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance III and Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance IV.
Simpson was charged with an additional charge of Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance IV.
Both Yunkers and Simpson were transported to the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility where they were remanded.
Yunker’s bail was set at $5,000, and Simpson’s bail was set at $4,000.
