Palmer Alaska State Troopers received a call at 1 am on Saturday reporting a gunshot vicitm.
Troopers went to the address in the Williwaw subdivision and found that an adult male had been shot in the leg, the victim’s leg wound was serious. He was transported to the hospital to undergo treatment for his injuries.

The vicitm is reported to be in stable condition according to the trooper dispatch.
Further investigation by the troopers found that the shooter had fled the scene prior to the trooper’s arrival.
Troopers located the shooter, who was identified as 40-year-old Cleve Clement of Wasilla, hiding a few blocks away. He had discarded the weapon and some clothing after the shooting and prior to troopers contacting him.
Clement was arrested and charged with Assault I, Misconduct involving Weapons IV, Violations of Conditions of Release and Tampering with Physical Evidence and transported to jail.
